ISO 200 ISO 400 ISO 1600 1/ 4 1/ 15 1/100 The mode for this picture was AV. The aperture value was 1/4000, and everything else is auto-adjusted to that. I chose this mode as the lighting was very bright, so I just changed the aperture value, limiting the amount of light that can enter, and made the other settings to auto-adjust to this. In result, it made me get the best exposure and shooting speed. The mode for this picture was macro. The exposure settings were the defaults for this mode. I chose this mode as it is good for close-ups, focusing on small objects, by using a wide aperture and quick shutter speeds. The mode for this picture was landscape. The exposure settings were the defaults for this mode. I chose this mode as it focuses on as much of the scene as possible, used for larger depths of field, by using a smaller aperture and slower shutter speeds.

In this lesson, I learned how to add both relative and absolute links to my own website. I also learned how to use a website called Neocities to create my own website. Here is my code. Here is the final product.
In this lesson, I learned how to make bulleted and numbered lists. For this assignment, we had to make a simple recipe page using bulleted and numbered lists. I made a simple recipe for brownies and this is the code. This is the final product.
In this assignment, I learned how to bold and italicise words. In addition, how to use white space and do line breaks in text. Using this knowledge, we were asked to make a simple poetry page. This is my code This is the final product.
In this assignment, I learned how to use Sublime Text to implement the basic HTML structure to create a basic web page. I wrote about different types of sports. Here is the code for it. After the code was translated, this was my first basic web page.
In this assignment, we were asked to create 3 different logos and vectorize them using the pen tool provided from Gravit.io. Then, we had to create three different variations of these logos. The most challenging part of this assignment was vectorizing the logos as you had to be very precise and neat. My favorite part of this assignment was actually making the different variations and trying out different color schemes. From this whole experience, I learned how to insert handwritten things online through vectorizing and scanning. Out of all these logos, I chose this one. This logo is about myself, as it includes my initials. I wanted to create a logo for myself to use for this blog. I wanted to create a logo that represented me. Some things about me that wanted to be represented was how I was creative, athletic, and a problem-solver. This logo accurately represents these traits as it is creative and has a sporty look. In addition, it was a hard process to create this, showing how I am a problem-solver. Another thing I think was important was choosing the right color scheme to fit this sporty logo. This was my favorite as I like the color scheme and again the fact that it represents me.
In this assignment, we had to create four different color palettes that had five different colors in each one. We had to create a complementary, monochromatic, analogous, and monochromatic color palettes schemes using the website Adobe Color and Gravit.io. We had to make interesting shapes to color. I got a rectangle and used the editing tool to create a very unique shape. I then rearranged it to create hierarchy. Then, we had to label each color by its hex code. Personally, my favorite color scheme was the complementary color palette. This one is my favorite as the colors complemented each other, making them look better. I learned many things such as how some color go well with other colors, and how actually a color is a very broad term as there are many different shades to one basic color.
In this assignment, we got to choose 15 different colors and we had to find out the hex code and the RGB code of that color. I got a picture of an easel off of the internet and traced it using a pen tool. (Here is the link to the easel that I traced. Link) Then, I filled it with different colors. Some challenges I faced were when I had a hard time trying to align everything to each other, so that everything would be straight. To overcome this challenge, I went through each one and aligned it. Some successes were being able to trace the easel with the pen tool, as I had lots of practice already. Something that I'm proud of in this artwork is how I chose very unique colors. To do this assignment, I used many tools in gravit.io such as the pen tool and the shape creator. There wasn't really an inspiration to my artwork and I chose an easel as I thought it would best represent a place to show off colors.
According to M. Butterick, "Typography is the visual component of the written word." Typography is important as people are inclined to pay more attention to a poster or design that is more visually pleasing than things that aren't. It also reinforces the definition of the word itself, so it makes life easier. The quote, "Each font has a personality and a purpose," means that again, fonts reinforces the definition fo certain words. For example, Comic Sans, is a playful font. However, when people have bad graphic design skills, they may use playful fonts like Comic Sans for serious situations such as danger signs. This makes it very confusing, so again this shows how typography is important. In class, we learned about the five different types of fonts. The first one is serif, which has "feet." It is often used in large blocks of text and print. The second one is san-serif and unlike serif, it doesn't have "feet." It is often used for headlines, titles, and smaller chunks of text. Also, it is used for the web. The third one is monospace where each letter takes up the same amount of space. It is used in coding. The fourth one is script or handwritten which is cursive, calligraphic, or handwritten. It is sometimes hard to read but is used for logos, large headlines, and details. The last type of font is novelty which are good attention-getters and popularity comes and goes. It is used sparingly. Typeface ComparisonIn this assignment, we had to write five words with different font types such as serif, san serif, monospaced, script, and display. We used the same text as an example, and I used my name. We had to align and space all the words carefully, so that it looked pleasing. In addition, we had to choose different colors to create contrast. I learned how to differentiate between different fonts and their unique attributes. Word PortraitsIn this assignment, we had to use 10 different fonts to show that every font has a meaning that can give more meaning to text. I had to made sure the names of the fonts were all the same size, and that the words were aligned with each other, so it was aesthetically pleasing. It was very interesting to see how some fonts may be appropriate to some text, and completely random when used with other text.
