In this assignment, I learned how to draw by coding. I used the website Khan Academy to make this, and I started off by creating simple shapes, and advanced by combining them to create more detailed drawings. I think it is interesting to see how a line of code can be translated into a shape. In this drawing, I drew a simple city at night. I wanted to represent how beautiful a city can be at night too. It seems very simple, but it took 75 lines of code to make it! //background
background(5, 48, 54); fill(194, 188, 204); strokeWeight(3); //building 2 fill(134, 137, 179); rect(122,83,106,316); //building 2 windows fill(255, 234, 0); rect(131,95,30,30); rect(184,95,30,30); rect(131,141,30,30); rect(184,141,30,30); rect(131,197,30,30); rect(184,197,30,30); rect(131,248,30,30); rect(184,248,30,30); rect(131,305,30,30); rect(184,305,30,30); //building 2 doors rect(147,346,25,51); rect(175,346,25,51); //building 2 roof rect(142,66,67,18); strokeWeight(4); line(174,64,174,47); //building 1 fill(227, 227, 227); rect(9,48,103,351); //building 1 windows strokeWeight(3); fill(70, 205, 242); rect(70,63,30,30); rect(70,117,30,30); rect(70,173,30,30); rect(70,232,30,30); rect(70,291,30,30); fill(70, 205, 242); rect(17,63,30,30); rect(17,117,30,30); rect(17,173,30,30); rect(17,232,30,30); rect(17,291,30,30); //building 1 doors rect(34,337,25,61); rect(60,337,25,61); //building 3 fill(8, 149, 209); rect(239,46,145,353); //building 3 windows fill(52, 224, 60); rect(332,63,30,30); rect(332,117,30,30); rect(332,173,30,30); rect(332,232,30,30); rect(332,291,30,30); rect(261,63,30,30); rect(261,117,30,30); rect(261,173,30,30); rect(261,232,30,30); rect(261,291,30,30); //building 3 doors rect(287,337,25,61); rect(315,337,25,61);

In this assignment, we were supposed to use our knowledge about graphic design to create a complex image. I choose to make the London Eye and Big Ben. I choose this as I went to London last summer and I really enjoyed it. It was meaningful for me as I could relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I purposely made the London Eye bigger than it is, to show the detail and depth of it.
